Almost finished commissioned painting

I'm onto the final stages of detail with this piece. Almost there but still quite a few components to work on.

From a distance this piece looks done and compared to the rest of the process there isn't a huge amount left to do.

I am now into the final details stage. Finer detail's that take this piece up to having more 3D depth.

I'm currently adding final highlights to the grass work after adding more green tones and darker shades. Then will add tiny touches of darker shading, to work on contrast and add depth to enhance contrast with the highlights.

There are smaller details like the pheasant's feathers with tone and shading work to do. Also the wooden post, dirt next to it, pheasants feet, beak and eye have to be completed. Those tiny area's of detail like the eye will be worked on last of all the area's and I'm looking forward to that stage. The eye detail will bring this bird to life, and give character to the bird.
