April blog post

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter. I spent time with family and friends, enjoying live music and gardening whilst still doing art too.

The weather has been nice recently and flowers are blooming, colour is vibrant and the fresh vivid green of spring signifies new growth.

"Jet" painting commission, oil on canvas.

I have been focused on finishing a commission I was working on which is now completed. This is a pet portrait of a beautiful dog called Jet who lives a great life on a farm. Jet is getting old and is greatly loved, I was asked to paint her with a detailed grass background. While taking photos of Jet the dog I also captured a great landscape photo, and reading a book by Gainborough (famous landscape and portrait artist) I was inspired to paint Jet with the grass and stunning clouds.

I have prints of this landscape avaliable on my Etsy print shop, before adding the dog because it was a beautiful landscape that I wanted to make avaliable as a print of the painting. https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Artbybradshaw

I have been working on other projects still and recently did a market on the 12th April. I will be here again on the 17th May.

I'll have paintings and prints for sale. Handmade cards and printed items!

I'm also selling my art online on various sites. Here is a link to my sites as well as this. I have my printed items via a printers local to me in Kent, Uk which I have been using for years now. I also have my art print store with giclee prints using Theprintspace London which I have found to be the best around and are 100%carbon neutral service.

See my other sites and my social media using my link tree.

I am looking forward to learning new skills, aiming to try new things, take on challenges and keep progressing with personal growth and the growth of Artbybradshaw.

I am thankful for all the support I have recieved in creating Artbybradshaw and looking forward to the future.

Come and see me at the next Folkestone street market!

Happy Spring, season of growth and things blooming!

All the best,

Gemma
