Blog post, Painting in public...

I've been doing some plein air painting recently (painting outdoors, from life). From sketches, still life studies onto a few paintings in gardens then painting a quiet beach.

Today was much more challenging. I was by myself and it was it late in the afternoon. The beach was so busy, painting felt pretty scary. My focus was so much on painting quickly before the light changed.

I am feeling super greatful for the lovely people who said nice things about my painting but also a little sad that I don't feel I really had any time for anyone or ability to really speak.
