Currently working on this...

(In progress) Searching for patience.

I've been waiting for this layer to dry.

I last added a real nice sap green, lemon yellow and titanium white mix to most areas and some darker tones too.

Was thin linseed oil mixes, which means the oil paints will be touch dry quicker and the mix was a nice glaze.

Waiting means I wont disturb this layer and hopefully get more texture.

If I paint before its touch dry I'll smudge the oil paint and new paint will mix into this colour and the textured brush strokes will be broken.

This is a piece my dad asked me to paint for him over a year ago, quite a tricky one.

I felt ready to tackle it now after gaining more experience and looking for a new challenge. This isn't something I'd have chosen to paint its a very challenging piece, with so much grass detail and feathers.

Still im enjoying learning new techniques, mixing so many shades of green and hearing about how my dad enjoys following the process on my Instagram and showing his friends too (see link to my instagram)

Have a wonderful weekend
