Sunny sands 12x16inches acrylic painting on canvas board. Painting created plein air on the beach set up next to the well known mermaid statue in Folkestone. The beach was very busy this day and the day was beautifully bright, I admired the highlights on the ocean and decided to focus mainly on the beautiful highlight colours of the waves in the composition I'd chosen to create. This painting is in an impressionist style due to the nature of plein air painting, with the light changing and wind blowing. Finer detailing finished at home and given a gloss varnish before framing locally in the beautifully handmade wooden floating frame. Signed GEB, by Gemma Elizabeth Bradshaw.
